A Very Fancy Servant's Room -- Josephine's Château

copyright 2011 Lisa B. Falour, BS, MBA all rights reserved LISA, INC. (EURL) cutecatfaith.com If I understood correctly, this was her personal servant's room. This château was built for her by her second husband, the Emperor Napoléon, to the West of Paris at Reuil-Malmaison. The first Sunday of every month is "heritage day" in France and many places which normally charge admission give free entry. If you like the Empire style, you've just got to see this place! The gardens are lovely, too. I am a private guide and can take you there. I can help you plan and arrange a business or pleasure trip to France, and I am based around Paris. I do translation, interpretation, analysis and creative and commercial consulting.

France Travel - Pont du Gard

Take a tour of Pont du Gard in France -- part of the World's Greatest Attractions series by GeoBeats. When the citizens of ancient Rome needed bath and fountain water, the Pont du Gard was built to deliver it to their doors. This simple, yet impressive aqueduct bridge crosses over the Gard River in southern France. Rows of arches carried millions of gallons of water per day to many private homes in France. Arch technology was revolutionary at the time of construction, and the bridge remains a structural marvel. The aqueduct was kept in use as a toll-bridge well after the fall of Rome. It has been one of France's most famous and visited tourist destinations for centuries. Today, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a monument to a civilization long gone.

◄ Place de la Concorde, Paris [HD] ►

Place de la Concorde is a central square in Paris. The square serves as the link between several major sites in Paris. For more info on Place de la Concorde, visit: www.worldsiteguides.com "..The massive 86400 square meters large Place de la Concorde, located between the Champs-Élysées and the Tuilerie Garden, dates back to mid 18th century. Place de la Concorde was built to complement a statue of the French King, Louis XV, which was raised in 1763. The statue was erected at the site to celebrate the recovery of the king after a serious illness.
